Whilst it is OK to hear the church bells, ding-donging until 9pm is a bit much. My husband and I had to be away early the following morning and nearly at ear plugging point to drown the noise. Have a little consideration for those who are practically living in the church yard. Why have them ringing when there is no special reason? On Easter Sunday they barely rang for half an hour, yet one Saturday afternoon peeled for three and a half hours. One gentleman told us they don't ring the bells for practice, but sorry to tell you bell ringers, at times you sound like a very bad jazz band!
